  1. Take a pressure cooker and add oil, followed by saunf and channa dal.
  2. Once channa dal changes golden in colour add whole pepper and let it splutter
  3. Then add chopped onions and curry leaves and fry till onion turns brown
  4. Add Ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes off
  5. Add tomatoes along with rock salt and turmeric powder
  6. Cook tomatoes till it turns mushy
  7. Add the country chicken and coat the masalas and cook for 10 minutes
  8. Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder
  9. Add some pepper powder and coat all the masalas over the chicken gently
  10. Add 2 cups of water and pressure cook the chicken for 30 minutes.
  11. When pressure releases open the cooker lid and add 1 spoon pepper powder and mix for 1 minute and turn off flame
  12. Serve with hot idlies, dosas, all breads and best had with steamed rice.
